Vande Bharat trains are like a revolution in Indian Railways. Now the government is planning to run ‘Vande Metro’ and sleeper Vande Bharat trains. According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the Vande Metro train will be ready by the end of this year.
At present Vande Bharat trains run in a distance of 500 to 600 kms while Vande Metro shuttle will connect the two cities in a distance of 100 kms. At the same time, it is also expected that by July 2026, the bullet train will enter the country.
The Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project is progressing at a fast pace. Vaishnav said that all 13 stations in Maharashtra are ready for the bullet train. This train will run at a speed of 320 km per hour. For this project, bridges have been built on eight rivers and pillars have been made in a distance of 140 km.
How will be the sleeper Vande Bharat
The sleeper version of Vande Bharat Express will also be very special. These trains will be made to run at a speed of 220 km per hour, while on the track they will run at a speed of 200 km per hour.These coaches will be made of aluminium. Vande Bharat Express will gradually take the place of Shatabdi trains. Apart from this, its sleeper version will work like Rajdhani trains. Railways has invited bids for 400 Vande Bharat trains. Railway Board has started survey on earning routes.
It is being told that the passengers are happy with the punctuality of the Vande Bharat train running between Delhi and Varanasi. The Railway Monitoring Committee has told this after the survey. The distance between Delhi to Kanpur is 444 km and Lucknow is 511 km.Sleeper Vande Bharat Express can be given priority on this route. Presently 23 pairs of Shatabdi trains are running across the country.
