All Schools Closed. After the departure of winter in many states of the country, the summer season has now begun. In many parts, the temperature has increased so much that people have become miserable due to the heat.
On the other hand, the temperature has dropped due to rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir. Let us tell you that it has been raining and snowing continuously for the last 36 hours in Doda and Bhalesa districts. In view of the situation, schools have been closed here.
Schools will remain closed till 7 March
All Schools Closed In view of the weather department’s alert, winter holidays in schools in the Kashmir Valley and winter areas of Jammu division have been extended by 6 more days. Schools will now open on March 7 instead of March 1.
Orange alert for rain and snowfall in these districts
According to the advisory, medium-sized avalanches are possible on some extreme slopes and it is advisable to restrict movement to safe routes only. Apart from Jammu and Kashmir, an orange alert was issued in four districts of Himachal Pradesh between February 26 and 28. These districts, including Chamba, Kangra, Kullu and Mandi, may receive heavy rain and snowfall.
