Due to the cold, there is dense fog in many districts of the state and cold winds are also blowing. Due to the fog, many trains are also running late, due to which people are facing a lot of trouble. At the same time, schools have also been closed at many places due to the cold.
Due to fog, visibility has been limited to 50 meters, due to which 36 trains in Kanpur, 9 in Varanasi and 10 in Agra are running late. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of change in the weather in the next 48 hours.
Schools up to class 8th are closed
Due to the severe cold in Uttar Pradesh, schools up to class 8 have been closed in Meerut, Agra, Kanpur and Varanasi. The Meteorological Department has also issued a rain alert in 17 districts of the state, hailstorms are also expected along with strong winds. Along with this, the Meteorological Department also said that the weather may change in the next 48 hours, due to which people will feel mild heat. After this, a new western disturbance will become active on January 22, which may increase the cold a little more.
How will the weather be in UP
On January 18, there will be fog in the morning and evening in most districts of the state, due to which the visibility can be up to 50-100 meters. On January 19, icy winds will blow in the entire state and there will be fog in the morning and evening, due to which the visibility can be up to 200-300 meters. On January 20, there will be light fog in some districts and visibility will be recorded up to 300-500 meters. The cold may increase further from January 22. Light rain may also occur in some areas of UP.
These trains are running late
Due to cold, around 10 trains including Shatabdi are running late from their scheduled time. According to the Meteorological Department, the clouds are likely to clear during the day. Due to fog, Kota Patna Express is 4 hours late, Farakka Express is 2 hours 30 minutes late, Nautanwa Durg Express is 2 hours late, New Delhi Vande Bharat Express is 1 hour late, Darbhanga Express is 2 hours late, Champaran Humsafar Express is 2 hours 40 minutes late, New Delhi Express is 4 hours late, Kerala Express is 2 hours late and New Delhi Shatabdi Express is 3 hours late. Uttar Pradesh Sampark Kranti is also 2 hours late.
