School Winter Vacation Notification With the onset of winter season, the winter vacation in schools has also started. At the same time, the time table of schools in the plains has been changed.
Winter vacation has been announced in the schools of high mountain and snow-covered areas of North India, according to which all schools will remain closed from 16 December 2024 to 28 February 2025. However, schools from first to fifth have been closed from December 10 itself.
According to the instructions issued in the School Winter Vacation Notification, there will be a holiday for students up to class V from 10 December 2024 to 28 February 2025 and for students from class VI to XII from 16 December 2024 to 28 February 2025. Meanwhile, the annual board examinations for classes 10th to 12th under the Jammu and Kashmir School Education Board can start in the second fortnight of February 2025.
The Principal Secretary of the School Education Department has issued a notification of autumn vacation in all government and private schools falling in the winter zone. It has been said that autumn vacation for students up to class V will start from 10 December 2024, while vacation in secondary, high and higher secondary schools will start from 16 December.
The duration of the holiday is till 28 February 2025. Apart from this, it has been said that to complete the preparations for the annual board examination of class 10th, 11th and 12th, teachers of all government high and higher secondary schools will be available in the respective education headquarters for the period beyond 10 February 2025. Apart from this, if the students feel the need during the holiday period, then all the teachers should be available for their guidance and support on online mode. If any teacher or educational institution violates the holiday and any other guidelines related to it, then immediate action will be taken against them.
Meanwhile, an official of the School Education Department said that efforts are being made to conduct the annual board examinations of class 10th, 11th and 12th about a month in advance so that the old academic session can be restored for classes 10th to 12th in the winter zone. He said that apart from this, arrangements are also being made to declare the results of the board examinations soon.
