School Holiday In November 2023: There is relief news for school students of class 1 to 12. Schools are going to remain closed for many days in November due to festivals and weekly holidays.
This will include many festival holidays including Dhanteras and Diwali. The list of holidays and the number of days may vary from state to state. Apart from this, due to the ever increasing air pollution in the country’s capital Delhi, the Kejriwal government has decided to keep primary schools in Delhi closed till 10th November.
Under this, schools have been given the option to shift to online classes for grades 6-12. Cabinet Minister Atishi has given this information by posting on X. Apart from this, Sunday 12 November, Diwali, Wednesday 15 November Bhai Dooj, 19 November Chhath Puja, 24 November Guru Teg Bahadur Martyr Day, 27 November Guru Nanak Jayanti have been declared holidays in Delhi.
Know when and where the holidays will be in the states
Students in Jharkhand will get the benefit of total 7 holidays in November. In this, holidays have been given on 12th November for Diwali, 20th November for Chhath Puja, 15th November for Birsa Munda Jayanti and 27th November for Guru Nanak Jayanti. There are four Sunday holidays, although 12th November falls on a Sunday, the same day as the Diwali holiday.
There will be a holiday on Diwali in Chhattisgarh from November 11 to November 16. Due to the assembly election voting in Chhattisgarh, general holiday has been declared on November 7 and November 17.
Keeping in mind the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, all schools, colleges, banks and all offices will remain closed on Friday, 17th November. The Home Ministry has declared a public and general holiday on 17 November.
In Haryana, there will be holidays on 5th November on Sunday, 2nd Saturday on 11th November, Diwali on 12th November, Monday on 13th November due to Vishwakarma Day/Govardhan Puja, Sunday on 19th November, Sunday on 26th November and 27th November due to Guru Nanak Jayanti.
In Uttar Pradesh, there will be a Diwali holiday on Sunday, November 5, November 12, while schools will be closed on November 13 on the occasion of Govardhan Puja, Bhai Dooj on November 15, Chhath Puja on November 19 and Guru Teg Bahadur’s death anniversary on November 24. A holiday has been declared. Apart from this, schools will remain closed on Guru Nanak Jayanti on 27th November.
