Holiday has been declared in the schools of Jalandhar district of Punjab. In fact, all the schools of the district will remain closed on 16th August. CM Mann made the above announcement while addressing the public at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium.
He said that for many days school children have been preparing for the Independence Day program. Due to which all the schools will remain closed tomorrow.
Let us tell you that the country is celebrating its 78th Independence Day today. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann hoisted the flag at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium in Jalandhar. During this, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav was also present. In his message to the people of Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that Punjabis played an important role in all the movements that took place for the independence of the country.

Mann said that today has been achieved by paying a big price. Independence has cost us a lot, but despite this, the contribution of Punjabis in the development of the country cannot be matched anywhere in the world.
