School Holiday: Holidays have been announced for the academic session 2024-25 in Chhattisgarh. A total of 64 days of holidays have been given by the government in schools and B.Ed-D.Ed colleges in this session.

For this, the Directorate of Public Instruction has sent a letter to the Education Department announcing the holidays. It mentions the holidays of Dussehra and Diwali.

According to the proposal, there will be a 6-day holiday in schools from 7 October to 12 October on the occasion of Dussehra. There is a Sunday before and after this. That means a total of 8 days holiday can be given in schools. Apart from this, 6 days holiday will be given from 28 October to 2 November on the occasion of Deepawali. There is a Sunday before and after this holiday too. This means that children will be able to enjoy with their families for 8 days in this festival too.

The winter vacation will be for 6 days from 23 December to 28 December, while the summer vacation is proposed to be for a total of 46 days from 1 May to 15 June. As per the proposal, schools will remain closed for a total of 64 days.

When is Dussehra this year

Dussehra 2024: In the year 2024, the Dashami date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will start on October 12 at 10:58 am while it will end on October 13 at 9:08 am. Therefore, according to the Udayatithi, Dussehra will be celebrated on 12 October 2024 in the year 2024. According to the Udaya Tithi, Sharadiya Navratri will start from 3 October 2024, which will end on 12 October 2024.

Diwali 2024: The five-day long Diwali festival will begin on October 29. It will continue till November 3. The festival of Diwali begins with Dhanteras and ends on Bhaiya Dooj. Diwali, Lakshmi Puja will be on November 1.
