The School Education Department of Uttar Pradesh had released the holiday calendar for 2024 at the beginning of the academic session 2023-24. This calendar gives information about all the holidays till December. It does not include winter holidays or study holidays before the examination. Schools will remain closed for 2 days in September
According to the UP school holiday calendar, schools will remain closed for 2 days in September 2024. On September 16, schools will be closed on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad. This is followed by Vishwakarma Puja/Anant Chaturdashi on September 17, which is a restricted holiday. This means that many schools may remain closed on this day, while many schools may remain open. Some schools will also remain closed on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

October 2024 Holidays
There are many school holidays in October too. Schools will be closed on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October, Vijayadashami on 12 October, Narak Chaturdashi on 30 October, and Diwali on 31 October. Schools will remain closed for a total of 4 days this month.
November 2024 Holidays
There will be 4 days holiday in schools in November as well. There will be holiday in schools on the occasion of Govardhan Puja on 2 November, Bhai Dooj on 3 November, Guru Nanak Jayanti on 15 November and Guru Tegh Bahadur Jayanti on 24 November.
December 2024 Holidays
Christmas festival will be celebrated in the month of December. There will be a holiday in schools on 25 December (Wednesday) on the occasion of Christmas.
