School Holiday 2025: A good news has come for school students. The number of devotees is continuously increasing in the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, due to which the district administration has decided to keep all schools up to class 8 closed till February 20.
District Basic Education Officer Praveen Kumar Tiwari informed that the students will have holidays till February 20, but teachers will be present in the schools. At the same time, all the board schools located in Varanasi city have been instructed to continue online teaching till class 8 till February 22.
Schools will remain closed in many places in the month of February:
The series of school holidays seems to be increasing in the month of February. The Punjab government has declared a public holiday on the occasion of Mahashivratri on February 26, due to which government and private schools as well as government offices and colleges across the state will remain closed. According to the holiday schedule of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council, schools from class 1 to 8 will remain closed on February 26. Apart from this, schools will remain closed on February 23 as it is Sunday. Schools in some states may be closed on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on February 19 in Maharashtra.
Due to the three-tier panchayat elections in Chhattisgarh, voting will take place on February 17, 20 and 23, during which all government offices, colleges and schools will remain closed. There will be public and general holidays in the constituencies on February 17 and 20, while no separate public holiday has been declared on February 23 due to Sunday.
Along with this, all schools up to class 5 in Jammu and Kashmir are closed from 10 December 2024, and they will remain closed till 28 February 2025. Schools from class 6 to 12 are also closed from 16 December 2024 and will remain closed till 28 February, so studies will start in these schools from March 2025.
