State Bank of India (SBI) is providing doorstep banking facility to its customers for free. This service was started during the Covid-19 epidemic when people were imprisoned in their homes. Customers could not go to the bank, so the banks started the service of going to the customer’s house.
Hence the name of this special service was given as Doorstep Banking Service. However, this facility is not available to everyone and one has to apply for it. Also, some fee has to be deposited as well. Senior citizens, differently-abled, suffering from dangerous diseases, blind, account holders with KYC registration, single or joint account holders and people living within 5 km radius of a bank branch can apply for this service.
SBI has told in a tweet that 3 doorstep banking facility will be given to the disabled customers in a month. A video related to this has also been released in the tweet, with the help of which customers will be able to know about this service easily.

For this, customers of State Bank of India will have to register. State Bank has given toll numbers for this, on which you can register for doorstep banking by calling. You can register for SBI Doorstep Banking by calling 1800 1037 188 or 1800 1213 721.

Doorstep banking facility is provided only at the home branch of the bank. In doorstep banking, a maximum deposit of Rs 20,000 and withdrawal can be made only up to Rs 20,000. The service charge is Rs 60 plus GST for non-financial transactions and Rs 100 plus GST for financial services. Withdrawal form including check and passbook can be used to withdraw money
