State Bank of India has started a new facility for senior citizens. Under this, now they can get their pension slip through the messaging platform WhatsApp. The country’s largest bank wrote on its official handle, “Now get your pension slip on WhatsApp and avail this service without any hassle. To take advantage of this, send “Hi” to 9022690226 through WhatsApp.

When you send Hi through WhatsApp to +91 9022690226, you will get a message from the bank with three options. These messages are as follows- Balance Enquiry, Mini Statement and Pension Slip. Here you have to select the pension slip and enter the name of the month for which you want the slip. After this you will get a message regarding processing the pension details and then you will get the pension slip.

You will have to register to avail the services.

You can also check account balance and mini statement in the same way. To take advantage of SBI’s WhatsApp banking, the account holder must first register himself. For registration, the account holder has to send his account number with space followed by the text ‘WARG’ to 7208933148. Send this message from the same number linked to your SBI account. When the registration is complete, you will get a message on WhatsApp from SBI number 90226 90226. You have to send ‘Hi SBI’ to this number. After this, you can take advantage of SBI’s WhatsApp service through instructions.
