SBI Customers Alert: If you have a bank account in the country’s largest government bank, State Bank of India (SBI), then be careful immediately. The government has warned crores of customers of the bank.

The fact check unit of Press Information Bureau (PIB) has alerted about a message circulating on social media. Therefore, if you are a customer of SBI, then you need to be careful. A small mistake can cost you heavily. Keeping in mind the ever-increasing cases of spam and fraud, PIB has now issued an alert for customers.
Actually, cyber criminals are cheating people with new methods. In the recent past, a new method of reward point scam has emerged. Customers have now been asked to be careful about this.
Customers may get duped in the name of reward points
The message issued by PIB says that be careful of the messages received in the name of State Bank of India. In this, customers are asked to download an APK file to redeem reward points. This message seems as if it has been sent by SBI, but this message is completely fake. SBI never sends links or APK files via SMS or WhatsApp. In such a situation, to protect yourself from fraud, do not download unknown files or click on suspicious links. Always verify any such message directly through official SBI channels.

PIB gave instructions to the customers
PIB said that it is very important to verify any kind of message. Do this only by contacting through the official phone number. Your bank’s confidential information should not be shared with anyone. If you are cautious, you can avoid becoming a victim of financial fraud.
Keep these things in mind to avoid fraud
1 – If you receive any message, first find out who sent it. Be sure to verify it through the official channel of the bank.
2 – When you receive a message from an unknown number, never click on the link given in it. Do not download any file given in it.
3 – If you receive any suspicious message in the name of the bank, then verify it by contacting the bank through official channels.
4 – Make payments and other transactions only through the official app or website.
5. Never give your personal or financial information through email, SMS, WhatsApp or phone.
