SBI Clerk Notification 2023: State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest bank, has issued a notification for recruitment to the posts of Junior Associate in clerical cadre.
A total of 8283 vacancies have been released. Among the vacant posts, 3515 are unreserved. 1284 are reserved for SC, 748 ST, 1919 OBC and 817 for EWS category. The online application process will start tomorrow from 17th November 2023. Interested candidates can visit sbi.co.in and apply till 7th December. According to the notification, SBI Clerk Tier-1 exam will be held in January 2024 and main exam in February 2024.

1. Where and how many vacancies
According to the notification, candidates can apply for only one state. Before applying, make sure that you have good knowledge of the local language (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) of the state you are applying for.
288 for Madhya Pradesh, 212 for Chhattisgarh, 267 for Chandigarh New Delhi, 88 for Jammu and Kashmir, 180 for Himachal, 180 for Punjab, 940 for Rajasthan, 1781 for Uttar Pradesh, 437 for Delhi, There are 215 vacancies for Uttarakhand, 415 for Bihar, 820 for Gujarat, 165 for Jharkhand.
2. Qualification
Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or higher education institution. Final year students can also apply. But make sure that the degree is obtained on or before December 31, 2023.
3. Age Limit
20 years to 28 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd April 1995 and not later than 1st April 2003. Age will be calculated from 1st April 2023. SC and ST categories will be given age relaxation of five years and OBC will be given three years.
5. Salary – Rs 17,900 – Rs 47,920. Basic pay Rs 19,900.
6. Selection Process – First of all there will be online preliminary examination. Candidates passing this will be called for online main examination. Candidates who qualify the main examination will have to undergo the local language test.
7. Pattern of Preliminary Exam
This exam will be of 1 hour in which there will be a total of 100 objective questions related to English language, numerical ability and reasoning ability. 100 marks will be prescribed for the preliminary examination. There will be 30 marks for English section and 35 marks each for Numerical and Reasoning. For the entire exam, the candidate will have to solve the questions of one hour and one section in about 20 minutes.
8. One-fourth mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in the preliminary examination.
