If you also have a bank locker in SBI, then you should complete this work before 31st December. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asked all banks to get their bank locker customers to sign the new agreement. This work must be completed by December 31st. If you also have a bank locker in SBI and you have not yet signed the new agreement, then you must be getting a call from the bank.

SBI customers should complete their work till 31st December

According to SBI, the bank has issued a revised bank locker contract incorporating the rights of the customer. Now customers will have to sign this new agreement. SBI Bank is asking its customers to visit the bank through phone, SMS and email. If you also have a bank locker in any branch of SBI Bank, then go there and sign your new bank locker agreement. Otherwise you may face problems later.

All banks have to complete this work by 31st December

RBI has ordered all banks to get the agreement signed by their customers by September 31. All banks have been directed to provide necessary information to their customers as well as update the status of their locker agreements on the efficient portal of RBI.

These are the charges i.e. rent of SBI bank locker.

SBI customers in urban or metro cities will have to pay Rs 2,000 plus GST for a small locker. In small towns or rural areas, the charge for a small locker will be Rs 1,500 excluding GST. In urban or metro cities, a medium-sized locker will cost Rs 4,000 plus GST. A medium-sized locker in small towns or rural areas will cost Rs 3,000 including GST. Customers opting for larger size lockers in major metro cities will have to pay Rs 8,000 plus GST. In small towns and rural areas, the fee for a larger size locker will be Rs 6,000 plus GST. For the largest locker in major cities or metro areas, SBI will charge Rs 12,000 plus GST. In small towns and rural areas, the charge for the largest locker will be Rs 9,000 plus GST.
