Salary hike proposal got approval from the President
The salary hike proposal was passed in the Delhi Assembly on July 4, 2022, after which it has now got the approval of the President. After the assent of the President, a notification has been issued by the Delhi Government for revision of salary.

After the 66 percent increase in the salary and allowances of the members of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, the MLAs will get a salary of Rs 90,000, before that they used to get Rs 54,000. On the other hand, the Chief Minister, Ministers, Assembly Speaker and Leader of the Opposition will get a total of Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand per month including salary and allowances. Earlier he used to get 72 thousand rupees.
Increase in salary and allowances of MLAs
Delhi MLAs used to get Rs 18,000 constituency allowance every month, which has now increased to Rs 25,000. Conveyance allowance has been increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000, secretarial allowance from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, telephone allowance from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000. After which now the MLAs will get Rs 90,000 per month instead of Rs 54,000.
Increase in salaries and allowances of ministers The salaries of the Chief Minister, Ministers, Assembly Speaker and Leader of the Opposition have been increased by 300 percent. Now he used to get a monthly salary of Rs 20,000, which has been increased to Rs 60,000. Along with this, constituency allowance has been increased from Rs 18,000 to Rs 30,000, hospitality allowance from Rs 4,000 to Rs 10,000, secretariat assistance allowance to Rs 25,000 and daily allowance from existing Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500. After which now his total salary has gone up to Rs 1 lakh 72 thousand.
Travel allowance has also been increased The annual travel allowance given to MLAs has also been increased. Now the government will reimburse the annual travel of MLAs up to one lakh rupees. Earlier this amount was Rs 50,000. Along with this, one lakh rupees will also be given for buying laptop, printer and mobile in the office.
