What is raw rice?
In the process of extracting rice from paddy, first the rice is boiled along with the husk and then the rice is separated. This rice is called Usana rice. This rice contains almost all the beneficial elements which are found in brown rice. This rice is transparent, takes less time to cook and is easy to digest.
Usna rice or parboiled rice, also known as Usna rice in West Bengal and Ponni rice in the southern states of India, is partially pre-cooked rice. Meanwhile, although the central government has decided to extend the period of export duty on rice, it has not given any information about how long it will continue.
