Retirement Age Increased: Good news! Retirement age of these employees may increase by 3 more years

Retirement Age:The possibility of increasing the retirement age of teachers working in state universities and aided colleges of Uttar Pradesh from 62 years to 65 years has increased.

The Yogi Adityanath government is going to consider this issue. State’s Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay has called a departmental review meeting on March 13, in which this is also an issue. Along with this, the system of interview will end with the recruitment of lecturers in 4512 aided secondary schools of UP.

The meeting regarding the possibility of increasing the retirement age will be chaired by the Higher Education Minister. Girijesh Kumar Tyagi, Special Secretary, Higher Education Department issued the agenda of this meeting by sending a letter to the departmental officers on Saturday.

In the meeting, guidelines were given for conducting student union elections by some state universities, conducting written examination for the advertised 1107 posts of assistant professors, DPC for promotion of assistant professors and assistant registrars, setting standards for LLB courses in new colleges. Important issues such as recruitment, filling up of academic posts in state universities, sending requisitions for Class III vacancies to the Subordinate Services Selection Commission, etc. will be considered.

Interviews will end with the recruitment of lecturers in inter-colleges

.There is a preparation to make a provision for this in the bill of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission being set up for recruitment from basic to higher education.At present, the recruitment of lecturers in government inter colleges is done on the basis of preliminary and main examination, while the recruitment of lecturers in aided secondary schools is done through written examination and interview.
