From November 1, the government has made some changes in the system of food items available through ration card. Till now, food grains were not available in equal quantity at the ration shop but in different quantities. But now the government has brought a new system from November 1, due to which instead of the earlier available three kg rice and two kg wheat, now two and a half kg wheat and two and a half kg rice will be available. Regarding this big change, the government has also made changes in the 35 kg food grains available on Antyodaya card.
There was an increase in the quantity of these rations
Earlier, 14 kg wheat and 21 kg rice used to be given in the ration card. But now the government will give 18 kg rice and 17 kg wheat instead. It is clear that the government has increased the quantity of wheat by reducing the quantity of rice. In both the ration schemes, the government has increased the quantity of wheat by reducing the quantity of rice. According to the ration shop owners, the government has issued orders regarding the new system which is to be implemented from November 1, 2024.
