Ration Card eKYC : If you use ration card, you will have to get it updated by 15th February. If you want to add the name of any family member in it, then also you will have to give information during this time. Odisha’s Food and Consumer Welfare Minister Krishna Chandra Patra said on Sunday that there will be no relaxation in the deadline for updating E-KYC. Strict action will be taken against any user who does not update his data. Also, in case of not doing so, users will not get the benefits available on ration card.
The minister said that till now 37,85,496 people have updated e-KYC. In case the ration card is not updated by February 15, it will be considered surrendered. That is, users can suffer a lot due to this.
How can you update your ration card
To update the ration card, you have to go to the state government’s site. Food Supplies and Consumer Affair has its own site. After going here, you have to choose the form option. On the Delhi government’s site, you are also given the option to modify the ration card details. Apart from this, you will see many different form options. After downloading the form, it will be easy for you to update it. Because after filling this form, you will have to submit it online.
Why is E-KYC necessary?
Talking about E-KYC, it is necessary. Because till now the department did not know how many members are there in the family and what is the update with them. That is, every matter is checked from age. But due to lack of KYC, this is not possible. This is the reason why with the help of KYC it becomes easy for the users to identify it. With the help of KYC it becomes easy to identify the users.
