Ration Card rules- The Government of India runs many schemes for the people of the country. Crores of people of the country are taking advantage of these government schemes. Under the National Food Security Act of the Government of India, people get the benefit of free and low-cost ration facility. The government also issues ration cards for this. Ration is available from the depot by showing the ration card.
More than 80 crore people in the country are availing the facility of low-cost and free ration under the National Food Security Act. But now after January 1, the rules are going to change for ration card holders.
The ration cards of these people will be cancelled.
The government has already issued rules for e-KYC for ration card holders. The government had given time to all ration card holders for this. But many ration card holders were like this, who did not get e-KYC done up to the specified limit. After this, the government had extended the period of e-KYC. Which was later extended by the government till 31 December 2024.
This rule has been set by the government for all ration card holders of every state. But there are still many ration card holders who have not completed the e-KYC process. If these ration card holders do not get e-KYC done by 31st December 2024, then their ration cards can be cancelled from 1st January 2025.
If your ration card e-KYC has not been done yet, then you can also go to your nearest ration depot and get your ration card e-KYC done. For this, you will have to provide your Aadhaar card there and complete the process by registering your fingerprint on the PoS machine. Apart from this, the e-KYC process can also be completed through mobile.
