RapidX Rail: Passengers of the country’s first Regional Rapid Rail (RapidX) starting in Ghaziabad will be able to buy tickets from UPI as well. For this, Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) have been installed at all RapidX stations.
Passengers of the country’s first Regional Rapid Rail (RapidX) starting in Ghaziabad will get a variety of options in ticket purchase. They will also be able to buy tickets from UPI with the card. For this, Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) have been installed at all RapidX stations. The ‘Buy Ticket’ option has to be tapped on these machines. After this the station chart will open. In this, the passenger will have to choose the destination station. After this they have to fill the ticket number. Lastly, payment options will appear on the screen. There the ticket can be paid in any mode.
How will the UPI option work?
If passengers opt for UPI, a QR code will appear on the machine. Passengers will be able to pay by scanning this code from their UPI app. Immediately after this the ticket will come out of the machine. Apart from UPI, the option of bank note, credit debit card and NCMC card wallet has been given.
Tickets can be bought in different ways
NCRTC Mobile App:
E-QR code will be generated through RapidX Connect, which will act as an e-ticket. Passengers will be able to pay through UPI, debit card, credit card and net banking on the app. The e-QR code will have to be scanned at the AFC gate during entry and exit at RapidX station, after which the train can be boarded directly. If the passengers want to come back from the same destination station, then only one e-QR can be generated for both onward and outward tickets. Soon this RapidX Connect app will be available on Google App Store and Apple Store.
NCMC (National Common Mobility Card):
This card can be obtained from many banks including the Customer Service Center of Rapid Station. These cards will be in the form of prepaid, debit or credit RuPay cards, which can be recharged at the customer care center. To travel, it can be entered by showing it at the AFC gate of the station. Under this process, after the completion of the journey, the exit from the station will be available.
Ticket office machine will also be available
Along with this, Ticket Office Machine (TOM) facility will be available at all stations for the convenience of the passengers. Passengers will be able to buy QR code based paper tickets for their journey from here. The designated staff will be present for the sale of tickets at TOM. Payment can be made by Cash, UPI, Debit and Credit cards. The facility of recharge of travel card will also be here.
If passengers want to travel in premium class, they will have to use the double-tap AFC system. That is, after entering the paid area from the concourse level, they will have to reach the premium class boarding area by tapping on the AFC gate once again at the platform level. From here they will board the premium coach of the train and on reaching the destination they will get down in the premium area and exit by tapping on the AFC gate there.
