Lucknow. Since the entry of monsoon on 30th June, rain has been kind to Uttar Pradesh. In the entire state, it is raining moderately and in some places it is raining heavily.

The Meteorological Department has also issued a forecast for the next 4-5 days regarding rain. The Meteorological Department estimates that it will rain in the entire state. However, a warning of heavy rain has also been issued in the Terai districts of Pilibhit, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Rampur, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur and surrounding areas.

Atul Kumar Singh, scientist at the Regional Meteorological Center located in Amausi, said that the monsoon turf line is located in the south and is shifting from there. Therefore, the rain will continue in the entire state. However, heavy rains may occur in many districts on July 5 and 6. The Meteorological Department has also asked people to remain alert.

Farmers are transplanting paddy.

Due to the onset of monsoon and good rains, farmers have also started transplanting paddy. This time the agriculture department has set a target of cultivating paddy in more than 61 lakh hectares of area in UP. Usually paddy is grown in 58 to 59 lakh hectares. The agriculture department says that if there was any further delay in monsoon then there would be problem in transplanting paddy. But since 30 June, the state is receiving good rains. Therefore, farmers are rapidly engaged in transplanting paddy.
