Rainfall High alert! IMD issues yellow alert for these six districts, schools also closed. details here

There will be more trouble in the monsoon season in Uttarakhand. IMD has issued a rain alert. Schools have also been closed after the rain alert. A warning of heavy rain has been issued in Nainital and Bageshwar districts of Uttarakhand on Monday.

At the same time, there is a possibility of lightning and heavy rain with thunder in Dehradun, Pauri, Chamoli, Pithoragarh districts. Director of the Meteorological Department Dr. Bikram Singh said that a yellow alert has been issued for these six districts.

Apart from this, light to moderate rain may occur in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Haridwar. There may be lightning along with thunder in some places in Rudraprayag, Almora and Champawat districts. People have been appealed not to go near the coastal areas.

The administration has also become alert after the weather department’s rain alert in five districts except Almora on Monday.

In Kumaon, schools have been closed in five districts except Almora district. After the weather department’s warning, strict instructions have been given to the officers and employees to remain alert round the clock.

Highest rainfall in Gadarpur:

Heavy rains occurred in Uttarakhand from Kumaon to Garhwal districts on Sunday. Highest rainfall of 104 mm was recorded in Gadarpur. Whereas, 87 mm rain was recorded in Nainital, 82 mm in Haldwani, 50 mm in Ramnagar, 43.5 mm in Kashipur, 37.5 mm in Almora, 33 mm in Dhanolti and 45.5 mm in Dehradun.

Temperatures in Dehradun recorded 32.4 degrees Celsius.

Before the rain in Dehradun, the sun shone and it was humid. The rain brought relief and the temperature dropped. The maximum temperature in Doon was 32.4, in Pantnagar 24.6, in Mukteshwar 15.3, in New Tehri 24.5 degrees Celsius.
