There is a possibility of torrential rain

, there is a possibility of torrential rain in some areas along with thunder. Orange alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in these districts. According to Dr. Vikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, the monsoon has become fully active across the state.

Many national highways were closed

Many national highways going from the plain to the mountain are being closed due to falling of mountains and landslides on the road. The concerned departments are trying their best to open these roads, but after opening for some time the roads are getting blocked at many places.

Forecast expressed till July 11

Amidst all this, the weather forecast for Uttarakhand has been issued by the Meteorological Department till July 11, which has further increased the concern. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains in almost every district of the state till July 11.

The problem of water logging may increase, it has been told by the Meteorological Department that during this time the problem of lightning, landslides and water logging in the plains may increase. Especially people going from plains to hilly areas may have to face problems. After the warning of the Meteorological Department, the administration has also become alert in all the districts and the disaster system has been put on alert mode.
