Weather Monsoon 2024 Update: There is news of relief amidst the scorching heat in Bihar. Monsoon will enter the state within the next 36 hours.
Monsoon will arrive in Bihar via Purnia on the night of 19th June, i.e. before 20th June. After the arrival of monsoon, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Seemanchal region for 4-5 days. There is also a possibility of flood due to early monsoon.
The turf line of the southwest monsoon is between Bihar and Bengal. Meteorologists have predicted that the monsoon will move from West Bengal to Bihar on the night of June 19. It will enter the state via Kishanganj and Purnia. Monsoon rains will start in Seemanchal and surrounding areas from June 20. The heaviest rainfall is expected on June 22.

Cyclonic circulation is currently over Assam. Due to this, changes are being seen in the weather. On Tuesday, more changes will be seen in the weather in Purnia, Kishanganj and surrounding districts. Light rain may also occur at some places. This is the reason that while on one hand the areas of South Bihar are battling severe heat and heatwave, the weather has remained pleasant for two-three days due to the movement of clouds in Seemanchal. After the arrival of monsoon, there is a possibility of a drop in temperature in the districts of South and East Bihar as well.
Farmers are happy with the news of monsoon, preparations are on to sow the seedlings in the fields.
After the expected date of arrival of monsoon in Bihar was announced, the paddy farmers are happy. Seeing the favorable weather, the farmers have started preparing to sow paddy seedlings in the fields. It is being estimated that there may be good rains in the monsoon season this year.
