Rain High Alert: India Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 20 districts of UP

Varanasi: Clouds have been moving in many districts of UP since Saturday morning. The situation is the same in more than a dozen districts of eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has predicted that on Saturday, July 27, more than 20 districts of the state may receive rain.

According to the information given on the IMD website, there is a possibility of moderate rain in Jhansi, Lalitpur, Meerut, Agra, Hathrath, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Aligarh. At the same time, there may be rain in Varanasi, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Ayodhya, Rae Bareli. However, at present, many districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh are not expecting much relief from these rain drops.

There is no hope of much relief from the heat at the moment.

Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava, a meteorologist at Banaras Hindu University, said that in Varanasi and the surrounding districts where there is a possibility of rain, people do not see much hope of relief from the humid heat for the next 24 to 48 hours. Let us tell you that the monsoon trough is currently between Agra and Delhi.

Therefore, there is a possibility of good rain in Agra and its surrounding areas on Saturday. There is a possibility of good rain after 2 days. It is estimated that in the coming 2 days, the movement of clouds will increase in eastern and western Uttar Pradesh, after which there may be good rain. During that time, a decrease of 3 to 4 degrees Celsius can also be seen in the maximum and minimum temperatures.

Only 5.6 mm of rain fell on Friday.

According to the IMD data, only 5.6 mm of rain fell in 50 districts of UP last Friday. This rainfall is about 38% less than the average.
