Rain Alert: There will be heavy rains with thunderstorms in these states

National Desk: The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted thunderstorms in many states including West Bengal till March 23. There is an imbalance of wind from south-east Uttar Pradesh to south-central Maharashtra.

Cyclonic circulation is active in central Chhattisgarh, which may lead to heavy rains in the coming days. A trough line has formed from North Karnataka to South Tamil Nadu, due to which cyclone-like conditions have persisted over the Bay of Bengal.

There will be heavy rain in these states

Heavy rains will occur in East Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha on 22 March. Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and interior Karnataka will experience thunderstorms with wind speed of 40-60 kmph during 22-23 March. Thunderstorms, lightning and rain will continue in Arunachal Pradesh for the next 5 days. Rain alert has been issued for Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the next 3-4 days.

Temperature will rise in North-West India

Temperatures will remain stable in northwest India for the next 24 hours, but may increase by 3-4 degrees Celsius thereafter. Temperatures will increase by 2-4 degrees Celsius in central India and interior Maharashtra in the next 4-5 days. The weather department has warned of severe heat and heatwave conditions in Gujarat during March 22-25.

What was the temperature where?

On Friday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 40.1 degrees Celsius in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. In the last 24 hours, temperatures fell by 2-5 degrees Celsius in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand, while interior Maharashtra and Karnataka saw a drop of 1-2 degrees. At the same time, temperatures rose by 1-2 degrees in northeastern Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab and Gujarat.

How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR?

In the last 24 hours, there was a slight increase in the minimum temperature and a drop of 1 degree Celsius in the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR. The maximum temperature in the capital remains between 31-34 degrees and the minimum temperature remains between 15-18 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be clear from 23 to 25 March, but light fog can be seen in the morning. After this, the temperature will increase and it can reach 35 to 37 degrees Celsius.
