Railways allows girls to travel free of cost in second class from MST till graduation. On the other hand, boys can travel for free in second class from MST till class 12th. Earlier, before March 2020, railways used to give 50 percent discount on fare to women and 40 percent discount to men for traveling by rail in all classes in case of senior citizens.
