Train Ticket Services: If you want to book or cancel a train ticket, then do not delay because the railway has decided to keep the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) closed for a few hours today.
Northern Railway has already given information so that people do not face any problem. Northern Railway will keep the Delhi PRS system closed for the people of Delhi and nearby areas for a few hours on Saturday night due to technical reasons. For how many hours and when will the Railway PRS services remain closed
According to Himanshu Shekhar, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, all services of Delhi PRS including ticket reservation, ticket cancellation, charting, inquiry (139 and counter service), internet booking will remain closed. Its time has been set as Saturday midnight. Northern Railway has issued a press release stating that Delhi PRS services will be temporarily canceled for 2.30 hours at midnight of 10 and 11 August 2024 in New Delhi. Online-offline reservation and 139 PNR inquiry service will also remain closed in Delhi PRS.

All concerned are informed that the services of Delhi Passenger Reservation System are being canceled for static and dynamic database comparison activity from midnight of 10/11.08.2024. Under this, all these services will not be available or will be cancelled for 2.30 hours.

Delhi PRS is a big centre among the cities from where PRS services are operated for the railways. Train tickets for Delhi and many nearby cities are booked through Delhi PRS. Today all reservation related services will remain closed for two and a half hours, so book or cancel your train tickets in advance or else you will have to wait till Sunday morning.
