Railways’ big decision to prevent rail accidents, know when will work on it start?

To prevent train accidents, Indian Railways has decided to install the upgraded version 4.0 of Kavach on two more major routes of the country. According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the work of installing Kavach 4.0 will also start in October.

The new version has recently been approved by the Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO). Tenders will be issued soon for both these routes. According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the work of installing Kavach 4.0 will also start in October.

Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Kolkata are among the busiest routes of Indian Railways. Both these routes are being equipped with Kavach. Now after the arrival of Kavach 4.o, it has been decided to install Kavach on Mumbai-Chennai and Chennai-Kolkata routes as well. In this way, by combining all the four routes, about 9 thousand km. long track will be equipped with Kavach.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that every year about 4 thousand km of track will be covered with armor. In this way, all the four routes will be covered with armor in the next three years. Currently, 1465 km of railway track has been covered with armor.

Successful trial of Kavach 4.o

Kachhav 4.o technology is completely safe. Its trials have been done from hilly areas to sea coast and from snow-covered areas to dense forests. After its trials were successful in all areas, RDSO has given its approval. After this, the Railway Ministry has decided to implement it on two more routes.

Tax will be imposed on all engines in 4 years 4.O

There are about 20 thousand engines in Indian Railways. According to the Railways, every year about 5 thousand engines will be fitted with Kachv 4.O. In this way, all engines will be equipped with Kachv 4.O in the next four years. Along with this, Kachv 4.O will also be fitted on tracks and station points. After the installation of Kachv at all three places, the possibility of collision between trains will be eliminated.
