Indian Railway News: There is good news for passengers travelling to eastern states on Diwali and Chhath. Railways is running many festive special trains for the convenience of passengers travelling to eastern UP, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal during the festive season. This also includes the country’s longest route Vande Bharat Express.
Passengers have been waiting for a long time for the sleeper Vande Bharat Express between Delhi and Patna. But in the festive season, they are getting the facility to travel in Vande Bharat Express. However, it will have the facility of chair car. In view of the heavy rush on Diwali and Chhath, the railway is running many special trains for the convenience of passengers. These include the Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express. This is the Vande Bharat Express on the longest route in the country. It will make a total of eight trips between New Delhi-Patna Junction and will cover the distance of 994 kilometers between the two cities in about 11.5 hours.
Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special is the longest route Vande Bharat Express. As far as regular Vande Bharat Express is concerned, the longest route is of New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat. This was the country’s first Vande Bharat Express which was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 15, 2019. It covers the 771 km distance from New Delhi to Varanasi in about 8 hours. The route of New Delhi-Patna train is even longer than this. However, it has been started for a special purpose. Vande Bharat trains are currently being run on the route of Shatabdi and there is only seating arrangement in them. Railways plans to start Sleeper Vande Bharat Express in this financial year.
Train timetable
The Vande Bharat train will run from New Delhi to Patna on 30 October, 1 November, 3 November and 6 November. On the return journey, this train will run on 31 October, 2 November, 4 November and 7 November. Train no 02252 New Delhi – Patna Vande Bharat Special Express train will leave from New Delhi at 8:25 am. It will reach Patna Junction at 8 pm via Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar and Ara. On the return journey, train no 02251 Patna – New Delhi Vande Bharat Special Express will leave from Patna at 7:30 am and reach New Delhi at 7 pm.
The fare of its SC chair car coach from New Delhi to Patna has been kept at Rs 2,575 and the fare of AC executive chair car is Rs 4,655. This fare includes refreshments and food. A Tejas is also being run on this route along with Vande Bharat. It will leave from New Delhi at 8:25 am and reach Patna at 8:30 pm. On the return, it will leave from Patna at 7:30 am and reach New Delhi at 7.35 pm. On the way, it will stop at Ara, Buxar, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, Prayagraj and Kanpur Central.
