The names of eight railway stations in Uttar Pradesh have been changed. A notification has been issued by the Northern Railway regarding the renaming of these railway stations. The name of Akbarganj railway station has been changed to Maa Ahorva Bhavani Dham.
At the same time, Jais of Amethi will now be known as ‘Guru Gorakhnath Dham’. Let us know which are those railway stations.
A notification was issued stating that the eight railway stations which have been renamed include Fursatganj, Kasimpur Halt, Jais, Bani, Misrauli, Nihalgarh, Akbarganj and Warisganj in Amethi district. This order was issued by the Indian Railways after the Home Ministry approved the proposal of the state government.
Among the eight railway stations of Amethi whose names have been changed, Fursatganj railway station has been renamed as ‘Tapeshwarnath Dham’. Kasimpur halt will now be named ‘Jayas City’. Jais railway station will be named ‘Guru Gorakhnath Dham’. Bani railway station will be named ‘Swami Paramhans’. Misrauli will be named ‘Maa Kalikan Dham’. Nihalgarh will be named ‘Maharaja Bijli Pasi’. Warisganj will be named ‘Amar Shaheed Bhale Sultan’ and Akbarganj will be named ‘Maa Ahorva Bhavani Dham’.

It is worth noting that last year, former Union Minister and Amethi MP Smriti Irani had written a letter to the Home Minister and Railway Minister. In this, she had requested to change the names of eight railway stations. She had demanded to change the names of Mishrauli, Jais, Bani, Kasimpur Halt, Fursatganj, Misrauli, Nihalgarh, Akbarganj and Warisganj railway stations. This effort of the former MP was also appreciated by the people of Amethi. After the initiative of Smriti Irani, a big change has taken place here and the names of all the eight railway stations have been changed, now soon these railway stations will be known by new names.
