Railway Delay Refund Rules: You can get full refund if your train is delayed by more than three hours

If the train is delayed for more than three hours, you will get a full refund

Winter has arrived in India. There is a lot of fog in many places during winter. Especially, there is a lot of fog in North India. Due to this, many trains of Indian Railways get delayed by many hours. But if the train is very late due to fog, then you will get a full refund. According to the rules of Indian Railways, if a train is delayed by 3 hours or more, then you are given a full refund on cancelling the train ticket. Passengers have to file TDR for that. Then they get a full refund of the ticket.

How to file TDR?

If you are going somewhere in this cold weather. And due to fog your train is delayed by more than 3 hours. So if you want, you can cancel it and get a full refund. For this you will have to file TDR. To file TDR, if you have booked a ticket online. Then you will have to login to your IRCTC ID.

After this, you will have to go to the Services tab and select File Ticket Deposit Receipt i.e. TDR. After this, you will have to go to My Transactions and click on the option of File TDR. After this, your claim request will go to the Railways. And the money will be refunded to the same account from which you had booked the ticket.
