The Railway Board has approved the sale of packaged food items in Vande Bharat trains. Earlier, breakfast and food were made available to passengers in Vande Bharat trains only after pre-booking.
However, now along with the normal trains, passengers will be able to buy things like chips, biscuits, namkeen and cold drinks in Vande Bharat trains as well.
Now like other trains, passengers will be able to buy packaged items in Vande Bharat trains as well. Railway Board has given permission in this regard. Now passengers will be able to buy products like water, cake, chocolate, namkeen, cold drink, chips and biscuits at fixed rates during their journey in Vande Bharat. Earlier, all these were not served to the passengers. This facility has been started in Gorakhpur-Ayodhya-Lucknow-Prayagraj Vande Bharat. Now along with food, vendors will also provide packaged items in trolleys, which will make the journey more convenient.
Now the Railway Board has given permission to sell packaged items in Vande Bharat trains along with other trains. Now passengers will be able to buy packaged food items in the train itself during the journey at the prescribed rate. As per the instructions of the Board, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has started this from Gorakhpur-Ayodhya-Lucknow-Prayagraj Vande Bharat. Passengers are very happy with this decision of the Railway Board.
Approval to sell packed items in Vande Bharat
Before this new system, passengers had to book food and snacks while booking tickets in Vande Bharat. If they did not do so, they could only get tea, coffee and ready-to-eat items on request from IRCTC vendors. However, now the Railway Board has given permission to sell packed items in Vande Bharat, which will make the journey of passengers more comfortable than before. Vendors are now roaming around with packed items on trolleys in addition to booked food items.
Breakfast and food were available only on pre-booking
Giving information about the matter, the IRCTC supervisor said that breakfast and food are arranged in Vande Bharat train on the basis of booking. Apart from the order, a dozen breakfast and food packets are kept. Food cannot be arranged for more passengers than this. Also, there is a provision of some ready-to-eat packets. Ready-to-eat is given on demand. However, with the new packed food system, many types of items are being given to the passengers. Due to which their journey has become even easier.
