Punjab National Bank asks its customers to update KYC. Check last date

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has reminded its customers to update their KYC (Know Your Customer) details. The bank has urged the account holders to complete this update by the deadline to prevent any disruption in their banking services.

Because customers who do not do so may have their bank account closed.

Let us tell you that Punjab National Bank (PNB) has asked its customers to update their KYC by 31 March 2025 to avail uninterrupted banking services. Actually, this instruction of the bank has come after the instructions of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), in which RBI has given instructions to complete the KYC of all the customers. According to the notice issued by PNB, customers whose KYC update is pending till 31.03.2025 can update it till 10 April.

Why is KYC necessary?

KYC helps prevent fraud, money laundering and unauthorized transactions. Banks regularly update customer information to ensure security and transparency of financial transactions. If you are a PNB customer, it is important to see whether your KYC information needs to be updated or not. You can also update KYC online, know the method for that.

Do KYC online through PNB ONE app

Step 1: For this, first download PNB One app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Step 2: Log in with your credentials.

Step 3: Go to KYC Update option in the app.

Step 4: Check if your KYC is updated or not. If the status shows ‘Pending’ update, click on ‘Update KYC’

Step 5: Verify your identity through OTP-based Aadhaar verification process

Step 6: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number linked with Aadhaar and ensure that your mobile number is linked with Aadhaar for OTP verification. After this your KYC will be done.

Offline KYC method

1. Visit your nearest PNB branch with original and photocopies of the required documents.

2. Fill the KYC update form provided by the bank, provide the documents and wait for bank verification.

3. Once your KYC update is complete, you will receive a confirmation message from PNB.
