Charges for Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUC) have been increased in Delhi. As per the new order of Delhi Government, PUC certificate for two-wheelers and three-wheelers will now cost Rs. 80 instead of Rs. 60. Whereas, to get PUC certificate for diesel vehicles, now Rs. 140 will have to be paid instead of Rs. 100.

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that the charges for two and three-wheelers have been increased from Rs 60 to Rs 80, and for four-wheelers, the charges have been increased from Rs 80 to Rs 100.

In his statement, Gehlot also revealed that the PUC certificate charge for diesel vehicles has been increased from Rs 100 to Rs 140. He stressed that this change is a part of the Delhi government’s ongoing efforts to improve air quality and ensure that all vehicles comply with the required emission standards.

Kailash Gehlot said, “In response to the long-pending demands of the Delhi Petrol Dealers Association and keeping in mind the increasing cost of pollution checking service, we have decided to change the charges.”

Prices changed for the first time in 11 years

Gehlot further said, “The Delhi government is committed to maintaining the air quality of the city and ensuring that every vehicle meets the required pollution standards.”

Let us tell you that for the first time in 11 years, the Delhi government has made some change in the prices of Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUC Certificate) for petrol, CNG and diesel vehicles.

What is PUC certificate?

PUC certificate is a very important document for every vehicle in India. This certificate tells that your vehicle is in accordance with environmental standards and the pollution generated by it is not very harmful and is within the prescribed limit.
