Major public holidays in October

The first public holiday of October will be on October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. On this day, banks, government offices, schools and colleges will remain closed across the country. In Rajasthan, there will be a holiday on Navratri Sthapana and Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti on October 3. After this, there will be a holiday on Durga Ashtami on October 11 and Vijayadashami (Dussehra) on October 12. Finally, there will be a public holiday on the occasion of Diwali on October 31 and November 1.
