Public Holidays ALERT! Schools, colleges and many other institutions will remain closed

The month of March is going on and the festival of Holi is very close. Holika Dahan is on March 13 and Holi of colors is on March 14. Because Holi is one of the biggest festivals of the country.

Therefore, schools-colleges, government institutions and banks will remain closed in many parts of the country on this occasion. However, this holiday is not across the country. Work will be as usual in some places.

The Uttar Pradesh Primary Education Department has approved the list of holidays for the festival of Holi. Now schools will have 3 days off for Holi instead of 2 days and since the next day i.e. 16th March is Sunday, there will be a total of 4 days off. Schools across the state are included under this decision.

Earlier, there was a holiday only on March 13 and March 14, but on the request of Legislative Council member Babulal Tiwari, a holiday has also been declared on March 15. This holiday has been given on the basis of departmental religious demand. In this regard, a letter has been issued by Uttar Pradesh Primary Education Council Secretary Surendra Kumar Tiwari.

Let us tell you that the government had declared two days of holiday in the list of holidays in 2025. Now, due to the declaration of holiday on March 15, schools will remain closed for four consecutive days because March 16 is Sunday. Therefore, now schools will open on Monday i.e. 17th.

Holi holiday in Punjab is scheduled to fall on March 14. Since Holi falls on a Friday and most government institutions remain closed on the following Saturday and Sunday, many people in the state can enjoy three holidays.
