All these candidates have an average property worth Rs 2.16 crore. The richest candidate of the first phase is independent Kandomani Bhumij, whose property is said to be close to Rs 80 crore. These figures show that property has an important place in electoral politics, however, despite this, the active participation of the public in the electoral process remains necessary.
