Punjab Holiday- There will be a government holiday in Punjab on Monday, January 6. There will be a government holiday in the state on Monday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. During this time, all government institutions, schools and colleges will remain closed.
Let us tell you that the government has extended the winter holidays in schools and Anganwadi centers in the state till January 7 in view of the severe cold. Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said on X that as per the guidelines of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, holidays have been extended till January 7 in government, aided, recognized and private schools in the state due to the cold.

Now all schools will open on January 8. Meanwhile, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that due to the winter season, it is very difficult for young children to come to Anganwadi centers, in view of which the Punjab government has extended the holidays for children aged 3 to 6 in Anganwadi centers till January 7. Earlier, the Punjab government had announced winter holidays from December 24 to December 31 in all government, aided, recognized and private schools of the state.
