There will be a public holiday in the state on 17 February i.e. Monday. Due to which government offices, schools and colleges will remain closed. Let us tell you that the government has issued this order regarding the three-tier Panchayat elections. A notification has been issued by the General Administration Department regarding the public holiday. In which it has been told that this order will be applicable only in the areas where elections are being held.

Public Holiday: This is the reason for the holiday

According to the departmental order, voting for the three-tier panchayat elections will be held on Monday, February 17. Due to which there will be a public holiday on the day of election. It will be known that the three-tier panchayat elections in the state will be completed in three phases. Voting for the first phase will be held on Monday. Keeping this in mind, the General Administration Department had already issued an order. Let us tell you that public holiday will be applicable only in those areas where elections will be held. In other areas, schools and colleges will open at their scheduled time.

After the Nagar Palika elections, voting for the three-tier Panchayat elections will now be held on February 17, 20 and 23. Please note that the election results will also be released immediately after the District Panchayat voting.
