Basant Panchami festival will be celebrated on February 3. Due to this, there will be a holiday in most places. Although Basant is not a government holiday in Punjab. But many private schools can give holidays at their own level.
According to the 2025 holiday calendar, government employees will get 5 days off in January, 8 in February, 9 in March, 9 in April, 7 in May, 7 in June, 4 in July, 7 in August, 7 in September, 10 days off in October, 5 days off in November and 6 days off in December.
Basant Panchami Saraswati Puja is an important festival of Indian culture and tradition, celebrated in honor of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of education, knowledge and music. It also symbolizes the arrival of spring. This festival is mainly celebrated in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.
