The state government of Punjab has declared a holiday in the state on March 23 on the occasion of Martyrdom Day of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. On this day there will be a holiday in schools, colleges and government offices.
Holiday on Eid-ul-Fitr on 31 March
After this, the state government has declared a holiday across Punjab on March 31 (Monday) on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Eid-ul-Fitr is an important festival of Islam, which is celebrated at the end of the month of Ramadan. On this day, people offer prayers in the morning, thank Allah and hug each other and wish Eid Mubarak. Along with this, people also prepare sweets and other dishes on this day.
3 consecutive holidays from Saturday to Monday
Due to the holiday on Monday, March 31, children and government employees will get three consecutive days off. Actually, there will already be a holiday on March 30 as it is Sunday. Apart from this, many government offices and schools also have a holiday on Saturday (March 29). In this way, one will enjoy three consecutive days off on March 29 (Saturday), March 30 (Sunday) and March 31 (Monday).
