Information about Maha Ashtami and Maha Navami:
Maha Ashtami : On this day, the Kali form of Goddess Durga is worshiped. It is considered a symbol of strength and courage. On Ashtami, the eighth of the nine forms of the Goddess is worshiped, in which special rituals are performed, such as havan and kanya pujan.
Mahanavami: This day commemorates the victory of Goddess Durga when she conquered the demons. It is also known as Vijay Dashami or Dussehra.
