For revenue collection, the Municipal Corporation is giving 4 percent discount to the taxpayers in the payment of property tax till 31 December 2024. For revenue collection, the team of Municipal Corporation revenue staff goes door to door to collect property tax, water tax, consolidated tax, apart from this, revenue employees are also present in the revenue department of the office for payment of taxes.
At the same time, a discount of 4 percent is being given in the payment of revenue taxes till 31 December 2024. Regarding this, Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Mobin Ali told Local 18 that Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation is providing tax exemption to property tax payers, for which a slab has been made. Those who have paid property tax from April to July will get 6.25 percent, along with this, those who pay property tax from August to December are being given a special discount of 4 percent.
45 percent recovery has been done so far; all property taxpayers under Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation have been appealed to pay their taxes on time and take advantage of this facility and play the role of an aware citizen by paying their property tax as soon as possible. At the same time, against the property tax target of Rs 5 crore 70 lakh in this financial year, Rs 2 crore 55 lakh have been collected till October 31, which is about 45 percent of the target which has been recovered.
