PNB launched ‘Braille ATM Card’, these customers will get benefit, know what is its specialty?

PNB Debit Card: Punjab National Bank has launched Braille ATM Card. Braille system is a type of script with the help of which blind people are able to read or write anything. This debit card is specially designed for blind customers.

The aim of Punjab National Bank to launch Braille ATM Card is to enhance financial independence and convenience for visually impaired people, thereby empowering them to do something with confidence.

PNB has issued a statement saying that the contactless National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) ATM card is available on the RuPay network. The bank further said that the introduction of the Braille debit card reflects the bank’s commitment to inclusiveness and financial access. Only visually impaired customers who have a savings or current account with Punjab National Bank can avail this ATM.

What is special about this ATM?

With the help of Braille ATM Card, a maximum of 25 thousand rupees can be withdrawn per day. While the maximum limit for POS and online transactions is 60 thousand rupees. Apart from this, transactions up to 5 thousand rupees can be done without PIN on POS equipped with NFC.

Also, PNB will be written in bold letters on this debit card so that visually impaired customers do not have any problem in identifying it. This debit card has a circular notch on the opposite side of the chip. This will let customers know in which direction the card has to be kept while inserting it in the ATM or POS machine.

How much interest is Punjab National Bank paying on FD?

Punjab National Bank is the second largest public sector bank in India. Currently, PNB is offering a maximum interest rate of 7.25% for FDs of 400 days. Apart from this, it is offering an interest rate of 7.05 percent on FDs of 300 days. The interest rate for one and two year FDs is 6.80 percent.
