Public sector lender Punjab National Bank has increased service charges for National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) transactions. The bank announced on May 20, 2022 that it has increased the listed service charges on RTGS, NEFT, and NACH EMandate transactions. Changes in RTGS Rules
According to PNB, Rs 24.50 will be levied as RTGS charges for offline transactions. At the same time, 24 rupees will be charged for online transactions. Earlier, Rs 20 was charged as RTGS for offline transactions at the branch level. Earlier, the RTGS fee on Rs 5 lakh and above was Rs 40, which has been increased to Rs 49.50. At the same time, its online charge is 49 rupees.
Changes in NEFT Charges There has been a change in the National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) charges. According to PNB’s website, ‘Savings account customers will not be charged for NEFT fund transfers initiated online. NEFT charges will be levied on transactions other than PNB transactions.
PNB NEFT Charges
Earlier there was a charge of Rs.2.00 at the bank branch on NEFT transactions up to Rs.10,000/- and no charges for online transactions. But now the branch charges Rs 2.25 and for online transactions it has been reduced to Rs 1.75.
— Earlier, service charges on transactions between Rs.10,000/- to Rs.1 lakh were Rs.4.00 in-branch and nil online, but now they have been increased to Rs.4.75 in-branch and Rs.4.25 for online transactions.
— Earlier, service charges for transactions between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh were Rs 14.00 in-branch and nil online, but now they will be Rs 14.75 in-branch and Rs 14.25 for online transactions.
