Katra to Kashmir Vande Bharat Train: The wait for the Vande Bharat train from Katra to Kashmir is about to end. The date for the commencement of the much-awaited Vande Bharat train between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) and Srinagar (Kashyap) has been fixed. The Vande Bharat train from Katra to Kashmir will run from February 17. Prime Minister Modi himself will flag off the Vande Bharat train.

PM Modi will inaugurate the Sangaldan-Reasi track from Katra. After this, the Vande Bharat train service will start directly from Katra to Srinagar. This means that now Srinagar can be reached directly from New Delhi by train. Recently, the trial run on the Katra-Banihal railway route was completely successful. Apart from this, preparations are going on in full swing to lay a new railway line from the national capital Delhi to Punjab, Jammu. The survey of the railway line, which is about 600 km long, from Delhi to Jammu has been completed.

This new railway line will pass through Haryana and Punjab, which will increase connectivity with many states. Thousands of acres of land will be acquired for this project. Apart from this, the rates of the adjacent lands will also increase many times.

First high-speed train for Kashmir Valley

This will be the first semi-high-speed train for Kashmir Valley and the third for the Union Territory. Meanwhile, Indian Railways has also released the timings of 3 trains including Vande Bharat. Now, Srinagar can be reached from Katra in just 3 hours. The fare for the journey has not been decided yet.

How much will the fare be?

Actually, this Vande Bharat train of the Northern Railway (NR) zone will be orange and brown in color. The commercial operation of the Vande Bharat train will start from February 17. How much will the fare be for the journey, it has not been announced yet. But it is expected to be around ₹ 1500-1600 for AC chair car and ₹ 2200-2500 for executive chair car.

This train has also been designed for extreme cold conditions. This Vande Bharat train has special anti-freezing facilities. Unlike other Vande Bharat trains in the country, it has been designed to run smoothly even in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius. It has advanced heating systems to ensure a comfortable travel experience for passengers.

What makes this Vande Bharat train special?

The driver’s cabin has a heated windshield to avoid fogging or freezing, ensuring clear visibility. In addition, the plumbing and heating elements in the bio-toilets prevent water from freezing, keeping essential systems functioning even in harsh winters.
