Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan and Haryana on 9 December. He will visit Jaipur and inaugurate the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) at around 10:30 am. Later, the Prime Minister will visit Panipat and launch LIC’s Bima Sakhi Yojana at around 2 pm and lay the foundation stone of the main campus of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University.

PM in Rajasthan
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 and Rajasthan Global Business Expo at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC). He will also address the gathering on the occasion.
The theme of the Investment Summit, to be held from 9-11 December this year, is ‘Complete , Responsible , Prepared’. The summit will hold 12 regional thematic sessions on topics such as water security , sustainable mining , sustainable finance , inclusive tourism , agri-business innovation and women-led startups. Eight country sessions will also be held during the summit in which participating countries will discuss topics such as ‘Water Management for Liveable Cities’ , ‘ Versatility of Industries – Manufacturing and Beyond’ and ‘Trade and Tourism’.
Overseas Rajasthani Conclave and MSME Conclave will also be organised over the three days. Rajasthan Global Business Expo will include thematic pavilions such as Rajasthan Pavilion , Country Pavilion , Startup Pavilion. Over 32 countries including 16 partner countries and 20 international organisations will participate in the summit. ”
PM in Haryana
In line with his commitment towards women empowerment and financial inclusion, the Prime Minister will launch the ‘Bima Sakhi Yojana’ in Panipat. This initiative of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is designed to empower women in the age group of 18-70 years who have passed class 10. They will be given special training and stipend for the first three years to promote financial literacy and insurance awareness. After training , they can work as LIC agents and graduate Bima Sakhis will have an opportunity to qualify for the role of Development Officer in LIC. The Prime Minister will also distribute appointment certificates to the future Bima Sakhis.
During the event, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the main campus of Maharana Pratap Horticulture University , Karnal. The main campus spread over 495 acres and six regional research centres will be set up at a cost of over Rs 700 crore. The university will have a horticulture college for undergraduate and postgraduate studies and five schools covering 10 horticultural disciplines. It will work towards world-class research for crop diversification and development of horticultural technologies.
