PM Kisan 17th installment 2024: To help the farmers, the government runs many schemes, one of which is the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this government scheme, eligible farmers get Rs 2,000 every four months, which amounts to Rs 6,000 annually. Its 16th installment was transferred to the farmers’ accounts on 28 February.

The government had released the 16th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana) on 28 February 2024. Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a central sector scheme. Under this scheme, the central government gives Rs 6000 to the farmers in a year. The special thing is that this amount of Rs 2000-2000 is given to three equal farmers. Till now Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released 16 installments of PM Kisan. Crores of farmers of the country got Rs 2,000 in the 16th installment. While some farmers also had to remain deprived.

Now the farmers are waiting for the 17th installment of the scheme. But now they won’t have to wait much longer. Soon the central government may release the 17th installment. To avail the benefit of the 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, it is necessary to get e-KYC done.

According to media reports, the 17th installment of PM-Kisan scheme is likely to be released in the last week of May. The 16th installment was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 28 February this year. The Prime Minister had then released an amount of Rs 21,000 crore for the 16th installment during his visit to Yavatmal, Maharashtra. More than 9 crore farmers were directly benefited by this. Whereas, PM Modi had released the 15th installment on November 15, 2023.

Farmers get Rs 6 thousand in 1 year

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana, its eligible farmers get Rs 2,000 every four months, which is Rs 6,000 annually. This money is given in 3 installments every year. PM Modi releases the installment of PM Kisan between the months of April to July, August to November and December to March.

The funds of this scheme are transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. The special thing is that PM Kisan Yojana was announced in the interim budget 2019 by the then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal and later launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

It is necessary for farmers to get eKYC done

To avail the benefits of this scheme, the Central Government has now made E-KYC mandatory for PM Kisan beneficiaries. Farmers who do not update e-KYC will not get the benefit of PM Kisan Yojana. According to the official website of the scheme, eKYC is mandatory for registered farmers of PM Kisan. OTP-based eKYC is available on the PM Kisan portal, or the nearest CSC centers can be contacted for biometric-based eKYC.

This is how you can register for PM Kisan Yojana (how to register in PM Kisan Yojna)

  • First of all go to the official website of PM Kisan pmkisan.gov.in.
  • Here click on the option named Farmers Corner.
  • Then click on ‘New Farmer Registration’ option.
  • After this choose Rural Farmer Registration or Urban Farmer Registration.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number and select your state and click on ‘Get OTP’.
  • Fill the OTP and proceed for registration.
  • Enter other information like state, district, bank details and personal details.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ to provide proof of authenticity of Aadhar Card.

Check your name in the beneficiary list in this way (kisan yojana beneficiary list)

  • To check their name in the beneficiary list, farmers should first visit the official website of PM Kisan. Have to go to www.pmkisan.gov.in.
  • After this click on the ‘Beneficiary List’ tab.
  • Then select details from the drop-down like state, district, sub-district, block and village.
  • Now click on the ‘Get Report’ tab.
  • After this the details of the beneficiary list will be displayed.
